Ready Lowcountry, Emergency Awareness Expo

Learn valuable skills about emergency
preparedness for you and your family.
On Saturday,
July 31, 2010, Lowcountry
CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and The Charleston
County Emergency Management Department is holding its 3rd
Annual Ready Lowcountry, Emergency Awareness Expo.
First-responders, Volunteer organizations and local business
will be offering valuable survival tips, information, and
resources on preparing for any disaster.
The expo is
free to the public and will cover hurricane preparedness, earthquake safety,
fire, evacuation, home safety and business preparedness.
This year Lowe's has generously offered to host the event in
North Charleston:

prepare for whatever may come our way.
The expo will include Informative as well as
interactive displays from agencies from all levels of
government, volunteer organizations and local business to
include:

Information for families, businesses and children on
how to prepare for any emergency

Interactive Kids area to demonstrate fire safety and
other preventative tips

Displays from federal, county and municipal
governments, volunteer organizations and local
businesses to include rescue boats, fire trucks,
etc.

There will also be a Silent Auction of various
items. (All proceeds from the Auction will
benefit Lowcountry CERT a 501(c) 3 and our
