• Identify sources of revenue
• Organize strategies to successfully tap revenue sources - e.g., grant writing, fundraising events, etc.
• Coordinate fundraising activities with Treasurer
• Have representation on the LCERT Board of Directors

LCERT Membership/Continuing Education Committee

Duties

• Recruit active LCERT members to participate in the organization
• Recruit community members to go through CERT training and join LCERT
• Review definitions of membership (e.g., "member in good standing," "active" vs. "inactive" membership, etc.), consider levels of membership, and make recommendations to the LCERT Board of Directors
• Work with Continuing Education and Communication to oversee membership retention
• Have representation on the LCERT Board of Directors
• Manage elections

Youth Preparedness Committee

Duties

• To establish a Teen CERT Explorer Post to train youth 14-20 years old to be prepared to help in their homes, communities and schools
• Lay the ground work for other Teen CERT posts to be formed in the Tri-County area
• Coordinate with the youth from Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties to train, educate, and inform them about emergency preparedness and help form a well-rounded young adult; in conjunction with assisting LCERT in its mission
